The interview process started on a positive note. I had engaging and meaningful discussions during each round, focusing more on conceptual understanding rather than textbook theories. The initial technical and managerial rounds went very well, and the final hiring manager round was scheduled as a face-to-face interview, for which I had to travel over 2000 km. The hiring manager round also went smoothly, and I was told that “everything seems positive” and that I would receive an update by the evening. However, the post-interview experience was highly disappointing. Despite multiple follow-ups through calls, messages, and emails over the next 1.5 months, there was no proactive communication from the company’s side. I received vague responses such as “discussions are ongoing” or “the role is on hold,” with no clarity. Eventually, after prolonged delays, I was given an offer — one that was lower than another offer I had already disclosed during the interview process. Due to the lack of transparency and the mismatch in expectations, I had to decline the offer. Pros: Interview rounds were well-structured and focused on practical understanding. Good interaction with panelists. Cons: Extremely poor post-interview communication. No timely updates despite multiple follow-ups. Offer provided after significant delay and below expectations.
