Interview was being conducted in timely manner as if they are in a rush to interview as many people as possible rather then trying to find a good candidate. In one hour you need to answer ton of questions, while answering the questions you are being constantly stopped in the middle of your sentence by the interviewer before even finishing what you have to say(as if its interrogation and if you will not stop lying guards will bring water bucket and electrodes), in general atmosphere of mistrust was predominant throughout the whole interview it felt like interviewer simply didn’t believed my experience, and the last part is that you need to do coding challenge for which one you have exactly 10 minutes left, of course just making it work is not enough but there are no clear requirements what else is needed either(maybe functional programming idiomatic solution is expected even if its not needed to achieve the result?). After I got feedback it was clear to me that interviewer didn’t even payed attention to what I was explaining to him or is not even familiar with the topics he was asking, except maybe few buzz words that he read on hacker news last morning. Basically your professional skills do not really matter as these are definitely not the criteria which they use to find people. In general I must say that this is number 2 worst interview process that I have ever experienced, golden medal goes to company where technical interview was done by HR who had an excel sheet open with technical questions in the form of quiz where you had to mark correct answer, but Epic games definitely got the the silver, I hope such etiquette does not translate into their work environment. To sum up: the interview process puts company in not a very good light, at least in my eyes.
