It starts by a test which they tell you will take about 4 hours but if you want to do a good job, I really doubt that you'll get it done in 4 hours. They talk about "production ready" but flagged me a bug that you find in the C library. So I guess they're looking for really high quality code here...
Then some C++ guy contacted me for a ~2 hours video interview about C++.
Then I got schedule for a 5 hours interview with 5 different groups. (on site quivalent)
First the recruiter explains to you that you are about to meet some of the most humble people in the industry.
Next, you're being quizzed by some guy who seems to take pleasure at seeing you struggle (are those characteristics of a psychopath boss?)
Another guy got limit angry because we couldn't see eye to eye on something...
Overall, I think the best way to succeed this interview is to grab your CV, go through your most interesting achievements in the details (this can go back 10 years behind... they don't care) and write them down in details.
I knew what I just wrote and I didn't do it. Please do yourself a favor and write everything down. If you can't remember, fill in the blank. I can't stress this enough.
You feel like an idiot when they ask you stuff from 10 years ago and you can't remember very specific details and they probably think you're an idiot.
harsh but that seems to be how they go about this.

Basically, they'll ask you what you did and how you did it and if you want to provide the clearest answer possible with a lot of details.
They'll ask you technical questions about different systems within unreal.
They'll probably ask you algorithm questions .
The first round was a video call interview. This was terrible, they canceled the interview 30 minutes before without any reason, I had no idea what happened, they didn’t even send an explanation about this

screen call on google meet. I was uncomfortable that they used google meet paired with gemini and recorded the interview. It also became apparent that the interviewer had no technical background and was simply recording my answers for review later.

The whole process is non-standard and quite unprofessional. I put "very difficult" just because there is not much one can do to prepare for such interviews. The questions were quite easy once you realize what they are looking for. Unlike large companies the recruiter doesn't have much idea about the interview process. The salary is not negotiated until the end of the process. They give you a take-home task which takes a few hours to complete and a panel discussion on that. Before that there is a round of "technical" interview.
