      Entrevista

I applied to work at Epic online. After about three days, I received an email asking me to complete an online personality test. I took that and then didn't hear from them for about a week. I then got an email asking me to participate in a phone interview. We scheduled it for a week later. Right before the interview, I got an email asking me to reschedule. I did for a week and a half later. I completed the phone interview. Basically they verified the things I had put on my resume, asked me why I applied to Epic, if I was willing to travel, if I was willing to relocate, etc. The person who interviewed me was employed in the same role for which I had applied. She allowed me time to ask questions about the job, the company, and the interview process. After this interview, I waited about a week. I then received an email asking me to come for the onsite interview. They flew me to Madison, booked me into a nice hotel room and took me (along with a large group) to dinner the night prior to the interview. The next morning they arranged a cab to drive myself and three others to Epic. We arrived just before 8 and had a busy day! As soon as I arrived I was given a folder of materials with my schedule of the day. We began with a basic overview of what Epic is. We then took a walking tour of part of the campus. After this, I participated in a one on one interview. During the course of the day, I ended up have two one on one interviews, one panel presentation and one small group interview. In addition, an Epic employee escorted a small group of us to lunch. Finally, towards the end of the day I was given three skills assessment tests. One was verbal, one math, and one programming. There is really nothing to do to plan for them. They are scored on speed and accuracy. As soon as I finished, I was sent in a cab to the airport. Because of scheduling conflicts with my supervisor at my previous job, it took a while for Epic to complete my reference checks. Finally, about three weeks later I was given a job offer. I started a month ago and LOVE it! The best advice I can give is to be open, friendly, ask questions, and soak it all in. I have never seen a business like Epic before. The campus alone is worth the visit. Amazing!!!!

Glassdoor had very accurate description of the whole process. I did resume drop, did the online assessment, then got scheduled for a role introduction session where you listen to the person who currently has the job to describe what they do. Afterwards, there's the superday online where you will do a 10-min presentation on any topic you like and case study with peers, then behaviors. Overall a pretty smooth and enjoyable experience.

I sent in my application and received an email from HR two days later asking if I agreed on thee salary. First process is you get a role intro, then an assessment test which is like 4 hours. They heavily rely on your test scores and are confirming that you’re a relatively normal and capable person before they offer you the job.

Me postulé a través de un reclutador. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Epic en ago 2022

      Entrevista

I was contacted on LinkedIn by a person from epic who encouraged me to apply for project manager role, sent me a link, I’m guessing I was scouted because on my profile I was #openforwork And I had some EHR software implementation experience in healthcare in my work history. (About 6 months worth). I filled out the project manager application online, I scheduled a time to watch the role introduction (just a zoom live seminar with some info on the role) and take the assessments. I did send the recruiter Just a question before my assessments asking for how much the role paid, like a salary range even, he replied with a non-answer saying that it is different for every candidate and once they have more information on my background, we can talk about salary. That was kind of annoying, seeing as they were asking me to sign up for a 3 to 4 hour test for a role that I wasn’t even sure if it would be worth it, especially since moving to Wisconsin was part of the requirements. My last job was remote and I was mostly looking for remote roles. I studied a bit, looked up some logic questions or questions from the assessment (didn’t find much but a few practice questions online that folks said were from epic hiring tests) I took the assessment and I think I did pretty accurately but I used most of the available time, so speed was not something I felt I really competed on. After a few days I got an email saying that they were not going to move forward with me as a candidate. Seemed like a cool job but I was relieved honestly. It seems like a role for folks fresh out of college where you give your life to the company and they work you to the bone. I’m later in my life and career I don’t really have the energy for all that.

A man walks into a hardware store and asks the shopkeeper for the price of an item. “They’re $1 each” “Ok. Give me 600.” “That’ll be $3” What did he buy?
