I applied at Epic after being contacted by them through Monster.com. After a week or two, I took a Rembrandt online personality test, followed by an online writing exam a few weeks later. I then had a very basic phone interview, which consisted mostly of verifying my work history, SAT/ACT test scores, school GPAs, etc. Next was a proctored math and logic exam. Even though I was not confident about the exam, I received a phone call a few weeks later inviting me for an on-site interview. This is how it works: Epic flew me to Madison and gave me a very nice hotel room. I also interviewed for the Corporate Training position, so I went straight to Epic from the airport. Once there, I took a series of writing exams (2-3 hours), and then went to my hotel. That evening, an Epic employee took a few applicants out to dinner and a little sightseeing of downtown Madison. The next morning began a full day of tours and interviews. The interview questions were somewhat standard, but there was an overwhelming focus on team work and cooperation. I felt that some of the scenarios posed were a bit ludicrous. Madison seemed like a great town, and Epic seems like a great place to work. As many have noted, the staff is almost entirely under 30, and it seemed that nearly all non-technical staff were female. However, the whole process was grueling, and they are clearly looking for VERY specific employees.
