First, I had a phone screen with HR followed by a phone interview with the hiring manager. Virus-related concerns prompted us to continue with a video conference with the hiring manager and a senior leader. I was expecting an offer, decline or set up for a possible interview with the CEO based on next steps from the manager and HR.
HR was very communicative even after the final interview, but I was surprised when the whole thing just evaporated. I expected a decline automated email at least based on how great the communication was for so long.
Regardless, all of the staff I interacted with were exceptionally welcoming, candid and offered clear expectations of the role during the active part of the process.
