Applied through their job post and received a confirmation email quickly. First round was scheduled for 30 minutes with a TA team member.
She joined 10 minutes late. The first 5 minutes were spent introducing herself and her role, followed by "tell me about yourself." I shared relevant technical context, but there was no follow-up or probing.
Of the remaining time, about 4 to 5 minutes were lost to her internet lag and bandwidth drops. The second and final question was, "give me an example of how you write policies for the APAC region." I was not given time to ask questions, but was asked for compensation expectations.
Toward the end, without informing me, she turned off her video and I continued speaking to a black screen. The call closed with "we will discuss internally and get back."
Rejection came two days later.
Overall impression: the process felt heavily scripted and junior-led, looking for set responses rather than testing innovation, accountability, or analytical reasoning. The technical issues and lack of basic interview courtesy made it a disappointing use of time.
