I got an interview call and the recruiter was very excited saying some stakeholder from the US is in Bangalore and called for F2F saying all rounds will be completed in the first half of the day. I too liked the attitude and their importance in the interview & was equally excited.
I am a full stack developer with more inclined towards Java backend with JS/Angular frameworks from Front-End side.
I make it to the interview on time. HR asks me to be seated in a meeting room and sends the panel.
One guy comes who is fully into Front-End & asks me about the difference between JS, JQuery, & framework like Angular and questions like what's new in ES6. And when I ask him about if he is interested in questions on Angular, he says they are using React Js & not Angular (Why did they even select my CV if there was no React Js mentioned in my CV) & left saying he will send next person for Java.
Next, the Java Panel came and asked me such silly & easy questions (for not more than just 10 mins) that I was happy and at the same time perplexed and doubted the seriousness of the interview because of such easy questions cannot be used to judge a Sr. Engineer with a decade long of experience.
Next HR came & told me that next there will be around 4 more rounds mostly skype calls from the US and asked me to leave for the day.
After a few days on insisting to know about the further process, the recruiter gets the update from HR and informs that they are not considering my profile for further interview rounds.
Why waste a candidate's time when you are not serious about the interview? Don't do this dummy/bogus interviews when you have made your mind not to select even if the candidate answers all your dumb, silly, & spineless questions.
