In my first interview with HR, I received a lot of information about Enpal’s engineering department. It seemed they were going through a transition and were looking to hire 7 Engineering Managers. I was told the roles were being filled quickly, so I worked on the requested written task immediately, spending an entire evening on it.
I sent the completed task in PDF format and followed up once to confirm they received it. The recruiter confirmed but mentioned they were “struggling to find a slot” for the next step. Since then — nothing. No feedback, no updates, no closure.
If Enpal is serious about hiring strong candidates, they should respect applicants’ time and effort. Creating urgency, asking for significant work, and then going silent is unprofessional and disrespectful.
