The initial call went well with the recruiter, as did the follow up calls. I felt the in person was fine as well. Unfortunately, the team professionalism fell off at that point. I am an adult, with a very strong career background and i can handle not being chosen. I think it is a joke for a company to speak so highly of their commitment to employees and customers alike, yet not have the respect to communicate with potential hires.
As discussed in other posts this process consists of 4 interviews/conversations.
1st - screening call with an internal recruiter. 30 min conversation to validate experience is in-line with job description.
2nd - regional mngr will discuss experience and temperament related to position. Scheduled for 60min but ran 10 - 15min over. Discussed specific industry experience and detailed examples of business development and operational management success.
3rd - RVP conversation that was mostly redundant to conversation at regional level. It was clear weak areas from the second interview were shared for 3rd round for further drill-down. Be sure you’re able to speak in detail about examples of past success and failures.
4th - 1 hr HQ panel interview with sr executives. These guys know their stuff and will try to trip you up with skills gaps or any weaknesses. Don’t get frustrated; stay on message and calm and explain things in a linear process and you’ll be OK. Be honest with yourself about your gaps before this interview and check your ego.
Overall this was a very positive experience and was well organized and scheduled in a timely manner. Expect this is take 3-6 weeks depending on your availability with your current obligations.
Emser takes this process seriously and for good reason. This role has a lot of moving parts and requires someone that’s understands top and bottom line operations.

Entrevista
The Corporate Recruiter found my resume online, she contacted me and we had the first interview, it was smooth, competent but friendly. The Regional Manager and an Executive of the Company were in town for a meeting so I met them both in two days and the interview went deeper but with the genuine feeling of trying to understand if it was a good fit for both. It was a nice and professional.
