It was two phases. One was a phone screen and then the second was an in person interview. I’d advise for you to be prepared for you’re phone screen. They will call you randomly and ask you if you have time to talk about the position you most recently applied for. If you can’t remember or just aren’t on your toes when speaking with a hiring manager it could look bad. So if you see any number you do not recognize calling you after you have applied to Emory don’t answer. Let it go to voicemail and the manager will leave you a detailed message about why they called. Then you can go back and research the position in detail then call back. The in person interview was super lax. Emory is very lax in general. They are down to earth and treat you like family. The interview process is very chill. It is hard to decipher if you are a good fit by how chill they are. With this being sad stand out. Bring extra copies of your resume. Have a business notepad. Take notes, ask MANY questions. Show them you are super chill, but very professional. I think part of their process is too see what your standards are and since they are intentionally chill, and you follow the lead of being that way also it can come off unprofessional.
