The interview process differed from others I had taken part in, but not in any bad way. In fact, it was the complete opposite. The team at Emergent was quick to respond to me, and blazed through the process in just 1 week when others I had taken part in took 6+ in some cases. Emergent was clear about what to expect within their job posting, and when I met with the recruiter. Despite the assessment and what I would describe as a "quiz-style" interview, not directly relating to the position I was applying for at times, neither took a significant amount of time and allowed me to showcase my various other areas of knowledge without trying to squeeze it all into an interview call. Outside of those steps in the process, everyone I spoke to was relatable and kind. They took the time to get to know me as a person and as a professional rather than just drilling me with question after question. The calls were conversational, down-to-earth, and actually quite enjoyable...not something that can be said about many companies today. Overall, I was very pleased with the process, and the team at Emergent was helpful and welcoming throughout every step. I would recommend applying to Emergent, even if the only outcome is to show you how a good interview process still exists.
