The interview process itself was good, and I left each interview feeling excited about the role and the company. The issues started after I submitted my design test and psychometric test. The design test was extremely involved, which I had no problem with, even though it was unpaid. What really upset me was that they went completely quiet afterward. There was not a single word from them, not even an acknowledgment that they had received my work, which I spent hours and hours on.
What made it worse was that after about a month I saw the same job posted again. I sent it to the recruiter I was working with and said that I assumed I had been declined. He promised to get back to me with more information, but I never heard anything. Weeks later, actually more than a month later, I was contacted by the external recruiter who asked if I was still interested. He explained that someone in HR had been a roadblock and that the company was still very keen on me. I sent him my payslips and the other relevant information, and then there was radio silence again.
A few weeks passed and I saw the job posted again. That was the last straw for me. I messaged the recruiter and said that I was extremely disappointed in the entire experience, especially the lack of feedback after putting in hours of work. I also let him know that with this in mind I was withdrawing my application completely and that they did not need to consider me for this role in the future or for any other roles at the company going forward.
