TIP: If interviewing on site in St. Paul, get there very early. Parking is difficult and can result in a lengthy walk. Checking in at the security desk can also take upwards of ten minutes if there is a line. My interview timeline was very long. I applied for the position in mid-June, had two phone interviews in August, and an on site interview in September. The phone interviews were pretty typical. I think I only had two because a new supervisor was brought on in the meantime. The on-site interview was tricky. I interviewed with five different people over the course of nearly three hours. The last person I I interviewed with did not worth for the division I was applying for. The person who would’ve been my supervisor had only been at the company for a few weeks, and could not answer any questions I had about the team, the job, or the company. The second interviewer clued me in to that there were actually two open positions, with slightly different responsibilities, that were open and I was being considered for both. I only ever had one job description, so I found it hard to answer certain questions. Ultimately, I thought I had good conversations with everyone. I received an email from HR within the week saying that they were excited to bring me on, and not to accept any other job offers in the meantime. Maybe two weeks after that, I received a follow-up saying that they pulled one of the open positions, and hired someone else for the other. I was disappointed in the communication I received, given that this was a months long process and I had been told an offer was coming.

In person interview lasts 3-4 hours. Meet 3-5 people who ask generally the same questions about your experience. Interview rooms are small and too warm. Takes a long time between applying for the job and actually hearing from the company.
