I had to go through nearly six rounds of interviews, during which they informed me that I was selected and discussed my joining date. However, later they called to notify me that the position was not remote and that I would need to work in the office. Throughout the application process and during the final round of interviews, they had stated that it was a remote role. In the end, they apologized and said it was their mistake; the role was not remote after all. This experience demonstrated very unprofessional and unethical behavior from a poorly organized team in the company.
