Had my first interview, got an email saying I was unsuccessful. Two days later, I got an apology saying that they made a mistake and put me through to the 2nd round. While the interview process itself was quite standard (although asked quite challenging questions), they proceeded to ghost me after the 2nd (out of 3) rounds, even after following up and them promising to get back to me. Even if I didn’t make the cut, I would still at least like to know that I didn’t make the cut, never mind get feedback. The reason being is that it takes time and energy to prepare for interviews and so it is very unprofessional and even disrespectful to not let candidates know that they didn’t make it. Since when has this become standard practice? The reason I am writing this is so that potential employees can have more information about the company and it’s values before deciding to work there.
