      Entrevista

Started with a text message asking to schedule a Zoom call to talk about the position. I do not remember applying for the position and quickly realized they are scouting/recruiting people. The job description and pay was reasonable so I agreed to a call. The Zoom call went well, but they don't tell you there will be other candidates on the call during the short 10-15 minutes. This was a bit confusing at first, but makes sense now that I see just how many people they have coming in for interviews on any given day. The retention for this job is low (interviewers words) and therefore the turnover rate is significant as each new employee starts at the same entry level (Trainee) and is trained the same regardless of experience or what job they applied for. The details they use to attract candidates are simply too good to be true. They will show you a job description with specific duties and reasonable pay, and then once you make it to the interview (in person) they take all of that away and say everyone starts at the same level and only those who are willing to put in the work will be successful but that anyone can make it to a high level position within a matter of months. When I asked what the work expectations were (working weekends/overtime etc) for those "putting in the work" I never got an answer. I was instead told again that those who work hard and go into the field (for sales) are successful. My overall take is that the company will waste your time, as they lure people in under false pretenses with a reasonable job posting all to sell you a dream of running a location and a team of people in a matter of months. This is absolutely not okay. The cherry on top is that they make you fill out a questionnaire/quiz at the end of the in-person interview to test how well you retained the information conveyed in the interview. I assume if you can't answer the questions, it means they won't move you through to the next steps. If they simply advertised the company, the position details and prospective pay as it really is, many people would be interested, but a company willing to lie just to get you in the door is one that will probably take advantage and cause burnout (hence the high turnover rate and current short staffing). This company may have a LinkedIn account and posts on Indeed, but that doesn't mean they're a company worth working for and that certainly does not disqualify them as an MLM. Take your chances if you'd like, but I would decline any offers received.
