Entrevista para Valuation and Business Modeling Associate

      2 dic 2010
      Empleado anónimo
      Oferta aceptada
      Experiencia positiva
      Entrevista difícil

El proceso tomó 2 días. Acudí a una entrevista en EY en oct 2010

      Entrevista

First interview on campus. Part "tell me about yourself", followed by a few behavioral and a few technical questions (i.e. what statement would you use to value a company and why). Second interview was at the office. Consisted of 5 30 minute interviews with different staff members (1 senior associate, 3 managers, 1 partner) each assigned to ask different types of questions (1 had certain behavioral questions, 1 had technical, etc.) There was also a 30 minute writing sample, asking an obscure finance question and seeing how you worked out the answer through a written paragraph. Not so much looking for the right answer (there is none, a typical question would be how many planes are currently flying over the US), but to see how you thought it out and how well you write.

Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. El proceso tomó 3 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en EY (Toronto, ON) en ene 2016

      Entrevista

      - connected with a person in senior management - always wanted to be in VBM so he introduced me to the Partner - Partner referred me to the role that they were currently interviewing for - gave HR phone interview regarding basic questions about technical and behavioral - went to meet the team members. 4 people. highly intense interview process as they are acting as the clients and they try to see how can you handle pressure. I was pretty relaxed and just answered with a cool head. - Interviews went really well; but the position was more for a managerial role (Partner wanted me to get introduced to the rest of the team so that if I can create an impression then they might bring me in when an entry level role opens) - so for now they kept me on the waiting list; later I heard that some people liked me and some people didn't so may be they are looking for other people as well :( moreover they had opportunities in other provinces where I was actually interested to go (as I live alone and have no social ties) but they thought I would just go to get the experience and then come back in Toronto.
