FR : J'ai eu l'opportunité de m'y rendre pour deux entretiens. Le premier a eu lieu il y a quelques années et s'est bien passé, mais ils ont choisi quelqu'un d'autre. Le deuxième était différent. D'abord, ils m'ont envoyé un e-mail la veille au soir pour un entretien le lendemain, tôt le matin. Vous auriez pu prévoir cela un peu mieux, non ? Heureusement pour eux, je suis réactive, j'étais disponible et j'habitais tout près. La responsable était nouvelle et très sympathique aussi. J'avais le CV parfait pour le poste, j'y suis allée en toute confiance, je l'ai rencontrée elle et son équipe de deux personnes, et tout s'est très bien passé. Elle m'a appelé 10 minutes plus tard pour planifier un deuxième entretien avec la directrice de l'école qui, bien sûr, travaille sur l'autre campus à l'autre bout de la ville, et a un emploi du temps très chargé. Conclusion : j'ai dû annuler mon rendez-vous de l'après-midi et être disponible pour la rencontrer le jour même. Vous auriez pu prévoir cela un peu mieux non ? La responsable que j'avais rencontré le matin est là aussi, elle me souhaite bonne chance et me fait savoir qu'elle me contactera bientôt. Le deuxième entretien se passe bien, il est moins agréable que le premier mais je mets ça sur le compte du poste de directrice d'établissement, ça va de pair avec, donc pas de problème. Elle me dit qu'ils vont prendre une décision rapide et qu'ils me donneront une réponse en début de semaine prochaine. Je n'ai plus jamais eu de nouvelles depuis. J'ai fait ma relance, avec mes remerciements, comme il se doit. Rien. Chères entreprises, nous sommes à la recherche d'un emploi ou d'un meilleur poste, mais s'il vous plaît, nous avons une vie, nous ne sommes pas à votre entière disposition. Veuillez nous traiter de la même manière que vous aimeriez que nous traitions vos étudiants ou vos clients. Avec respect. Cela signifie faire un retour après un entretien, même si c'est un non. ENG : Had the opportunity to go in for two interviews there. First one was a few years ago, went well but they went for someone else instead. Second one was different. First they sent me an email the night before for an interview the next day early morning. Could have planned that a little better no? Lucky for them I responded promptly, was available, and happened to live close by. The head of department was new and very nice too. I had the perfect CV for the job, went in all confident, saw her and her team of two, and it went very well. They called me 10 min later to plan a second interview with the school Headmistress who of course, works on the other campus at the other end of the city, and has a packed schedule. Bottom line, I had to cancel my afternoon appointment and be available to meet her that same day. Could have planned that a little better no? The head of department I'd met in the morning is there too, she wishes me luck and lets me know she'll contact me soon. The second interview goes well, it's less amicable but I “blame” the position of being Head of the school, comes with the job so no biggie. She says we'll take a quick decision and get back to you early next week. Never heard from them since. Contacted them after some time, sent my thanks and everything. Nothing. Companies, we are looking for a job or a better position but please, we have a life, we are not at your beck and call. Please treat us in the same way you would like us to treat your students, your clients etc. with respect. This means sending a reply after an interview, even if it's a no.
