Applied online and recruiter reached out. Had a phone screen. I didn't hear anything for a month and followed up a couple of times. Recruiter tried to schedule an interview with ESG lead. Finally talked on the phone and they barely asked anything. Scheduled F2F at client location. It went well but nothing came out of it. My biggest problem is communication with the ESG lead. After recruiter handoff to him, the communication went on a downward spiral. It was difficult to talk to the ESG mgr. It was like pulling teeth trying to get ANY information about the job, the client, the interview process, anything! I have to follow up every time to get any status on the hiring process. I don't think this person wanted me on the ESG team or really pushed for me as a candidate even if I was qualified and able to do the job. It sucked working with this person even if he is mgmt. The recruiter from ESG and the hiring mgr from the client were fine to work with.
