Initially the process started really well and was moving quickly and smoothly. The Talent recruiter (Anna) was super helpful throughout the process. Things turned south at the end after I had completed a 4th and final interview. The company was close to offering and wanted references. So submitted these, both references completed.
Following this it was confirmed an offer would proceed. 1-2 days later i was there was a sales leadership change, and the new sales leader wanted to me.
So that was fine, I went into their office for a fourth time and got through that. At the end of that interview I was told the Chairmen recently introduced a 5 day in office working policy all GTM teams!
I was more than happy with hybrid (3 days a week in office) with a young family. They knew about the new policy earlier, so they should been honest in the 4th interview and told me.
I declined for two main reasons, distrust in the ELT and leaders in their communication, concerns around their overall strategy and sales growth, and the 5 in office policy which seem based on control and oversight. If you interview, ask these hard questions early on.
