After I sent them my portfolio, I only heard back from them after over 6 months with a general survey. They promised "an interview" after filling out that survey. The interview was scheduled automatically and it had not been clear at all with whom, different names (phone numbers) from the UK were given then the actual interviewer. 15 minutes were scheduled, they said to prepare to share portfolio.
Short:
- very bad quality of the video on their side
- I couldn't properly understand due to technical difficulties and African accent (I am sorry, it wasn't part of my own training to understand those.)
- The interviewer clearly had not reviewed my CV/portfolio before
- He appeared shocked about my average hourly rate
- I did not understand his questions, nor did he seem to understand my background at all
- No actual questions regarding my experience or instructional design
- I never heard back AT ALL.

Applied and then was contacted for an interview. Met on video, pleasant chat. Afterwards I was told I would be submitted for the job with their client. I was a perfect fit for the job so I thought my chances were good. Completely ghosted me after that.
It wasnt until I received a survey for feedback months later (during which I shared the above feedback), that I finally heard back from them about the above job. The timing was comical - i submitted my feedback, and within the hour I got an email from them explaining I wasnt selected for the role for which Id been submitted. Seriously?
