On-campus interview. 2 on 1. No on-site. Very typical on-campus interview. I started with my research and related experience. They asked research-related questions and my future plan (like technical track or management track). I got rejected two days later. One candidate told me they already came two months ago and hired a few people. The reason they came again in September is to make sure they hired everyone they wanted.
