The interview process was quite long even though it was a contractor position at a federal agency that I was working at during the time of the interview. After I submitted my resume, I was contacted the next day by a 3rd party recruiter for a phone call. The 3rd party recruiter didn't know much about the actual office or programs that the position would be working on.
Then I was asked to do an in person interview at their office in Tysons Corner with the Program Manager. This occurred about 2 weeks later. The interview questions were basic interview questions given my background with the federal agency. I was told that I basically had the position, sent an offer letter, and told that I would just need to do a couple more interviews.
The next interview was to be either a phone or in person interview with the on site manager. This took place a month after the 2nd interview and had to be rescheduled because the on site manager missed our appointment the first time. This interview was also basic because I already worked at the organization. It took place when the federal shutdown happened so the on site manager asked about possible interest in other potential positions and said the interview with the federal employees would take place after the shutdown ended. However, I never heard anything back from them after the shutdown ended despite reaching out.
