Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Durable Machinery

      Entrevista

A phone interview was first. Relatively short and consisted of basic interview questions (Tell me a bit about yourself? why do you want to work for us? etc.) Seemed like this was more of a casual conversation as well as an opportunity to schedule an on-site interview. Place is very small and well-hidden in the Navy Yard on Flushing Avenue, would highly advise going a day before or so to figure out where it is and spare yourself the possibility of being late if you're not from around NYC. Very small company, so the head of product design was conducting the interview. Was fairly nice, although instead of asking relevant questions, he tended to focus too much on showing exactly what they do as though I had already landed the job. Also was pretty condescending to previous interviewees and employees. Criticized a lot of them an awful lot with quips such as "What Engineering school did they get their degree from?" even though it was clear to me that their lack of HVAC knowledge couldn't possibly reflect their overall Engineering abilities. A written technical test was given. I was told it would focus on basics of the Engineering field which I was applying for, yet it was actually totally about HVAC. Very unorganized company in some regards. I was able to meet the big boss, but only through a brief handshake. The interviewer told him that he wanted him to talk to me a bit, but the boss seemed completely uninterested and apparently left for the day.

      Pregunta 1

Really, the technical test was somwhat problematic because it revolved around their particular HVAC methodologies.
