Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 4 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Drunken Fish (Saint Louis, MO) en may 2016

      Entrevista

The interview process took about a week. It was a horrible experience, though. I applied online and was asked the following questions: Have you completed the following level of education: Bachelor's? Yes Do you have at least 1 year of Sales experience? No Do you have at least 2 years of weddings experience? No Do you have at least 1 year of Event Management experience? Yes Do you have at least 1 year of Event Coordination experience? Yes Do you have at least 1 year of Event Marketing experience? No I answered them, just as you see up above. I was called to come in for an in-person interview, I asked if it could be done over the phone and was told no. So I cleared my schedule to come in for an in-person interview. The office I did the interview in was a shared office, and that other person was in the room...on the phone, for most of the interview, which was very distracting. I let that go, and answered the questions my interviewer was asking. He was very belittling and condescending towards me. He asked how much I was paid at my current position, and had the audacity to say, "Oh wow! That's a lot of money, for a pretty easy job!" Not once did I make it seem like I had an easy job, and on top of that, I was actually under-paid compared to other people that worked for different companies in the same industry. I then told him I had recommendation letters under my resume, and he then questioned me about them, as if they weren't real. He then told me to hang out for a minute and he left the room. He was gone for about five minutes when he came back to let me know that the President of the company would like to speak with me. I went into his office and he was asking me questions and then went on to say, but you have no experience with sales or weddings...? I said no. Thinking, in my head that no where on my resume does it say that I have that experience, and when I answered the above questions I clearly put NO for those questions. He then told me that he really needed someone with all of that experience and that working large events of 2,000+ people was easier than working smaller events of 60-300 people, so I wouldn't be a good fit. This interview was a HUGE waste of time that required me taking a half day, without pay, off work because of the time it was at. I am not sure why they waste their time, or their interviewee's time by interviewing candidates that, in their eyes, aren't qualified for the position when all of my information is clearly on my resume, and the questions were answered on my application.
