I had an interview that included two HackerRank questions related to Karen platform, along with some web application-related questions. The interviewer was friendly and professional, making the overall experience positive. The questions were well-structured and relevant to the role. Would definitely recommend preparing for coding challenges and web development concepts before the interview.

- 30 minute Recruiter - 1 hour Karat interview - 1 hour Hiring Manager - 2 hours team After spending close to 5 hours on their process and numerous days preparing, I didn't even get a rejection email but instead got ghosted. This company acts like they're all about culture but in reality, they can't even properly follow up with candidates who spend hours going through their interviews. Waste of time.

Interview was just a formality because they changed the job from a Software Engineer to a "Mendix Developer" which they required experience with a low code platform. Which is a low code platform just like system engineering (case) tools from the 70s or Java beans from diagram code generator from the 90s. Honestly wouldn't recommend as the code base will eventually have tons of edge cases requiring real code and creating a fragile mess that was half diagram and half code. Best of luck to whomever takes that job.
