The initial inter view was a group interview with three members of the public works team. This included the lead engineer, the head inspection mamager and an HR representative. They took turns asking questions about my experience and why i see myself as a good fit. They asked how i deal with contractors and specifically how to deal with a disagreeable contractor. They asked for a specific example of a time a interacted with a contractor and how i handled the situation. In addition they asked what procedure i would follow upon the arrival of a concrete truck. Eg. Ask for a batch ticket, verify the mix design etc.. The main focus of the interview was about handing difficult contractors.
