Overall, the recruiter experience was excellent—professional, responsive, and one of the best I've encountered during my job search.
The interview process, however, was extremely time-consuming. It included a lengthy recruiter screen, a hiring manager interview, a take-home case study, and a nearly five-hour final round with six separate 1:1 interviews. The level of time commitment felt more comparable to a FAANG interview process I had before than a mid-sized gaming company.
Interviewers varied significantly in style. Some were engaging and collaborative, while others were more rigid and frequently interrupted answers. One additional concern was that the role's scope expanded during the process to absorb responsibilities from a recently vacated position, but the compensation range remained unchanged.
Candidates should also be aware that the team appeared to be hiring with a high degree of urgency, which may indicate a demanding workload and possible overtime.
