I applied online for a different recruiting role and then my resume was shared for the Associate Recruiting Specialist role because my experienced aligned better with it's job responsibilities. I was then reached out by the recruiter to schedule a 15 minute screen, which seemed a little short to go over my qualifications and for me to ask questions, but I figured they have my info from my other application. Now I'm definitely one who can admit when I'm under-qualified for a role or had a bad interview, but I had all the experience and skills they were asking for just for the uninterested recruiter to rush through an obvious script of questions and barely let me ask one question before quickly wrapping up the interview. The 15 minute screen lasted no more than 7 minutes just for me to get an automated rejection email days later. I don't believe this to be a full representation of the recruiting team at DoorDash as my interaction with the recruiter for the original role I applied for was quite pleasant, but it's shocking how badly someone from the team dropped the ball here.

I was referred from a recruiter for another role I was interviewing for to the Associate Recruiting Specialist role and had a 15 minute interview scheduled. The new recruiter I met with seemed disinterested in the call and was just reading off a script. They asked me a few questions, only gave myself time to ask one question before ending the already short call early. I'm one to know when I'm under-qualified for a role and handle rejection well, but I was very disappointed because the interview didn't give me a chance to even talk about my qualifications or skills. I want to believe this isn't an accurate reflection of the recruiting team as the first recruiter I met with was very pleasant, outgoing, and made DoorDash seem like the place to be, but my experience for this role was night and day. The recruiter also called to this role a "Glorified Coordinator" and couldn't give an answer to the one question I was able to ask. From what I see online, DoorDash seems like a dynamic place to work at but unfortunately I felt like they really dropped the ball here.
