Inexperienced recruiters. For a "data-driven" business (or at least one that says they are), the case study seemed very unorganised and kind of seemed like the recruiter was making it up as he went. Typically in case studies, the interviewee would ask questions, try to probe more info (maybe reveal some data to actually use as part of the solution), but probing this interviewer was a nightmare. The case study was regarding delay in delivery from a restaurant, and simple questions like "how much of a delay?" was not even provided ...the recruiter could not even answer, and basically any question that I asked the recruiter would not answer or at-least guide. I think its because he pulled it all out of thin air. My feedback was that I did not go into enough detail, ie was not backed up by enough data.... But there was no data! This company is just winging it as it goes. No wonder Australia is their first international market, and have only come onto the scene in 2019, internationally. They do not know what they are doing!

Had a phone screener with a recruiter who very clearly did not want to be there and just asked typical generic questions about my background, communication styles, etc. Was given a take home case study and short SQL exercise and given 48 hours to return it (which I spent most of my weekend on) only to receive an auto reject email two days later. I did not get to speak to the hiring manager or anyone on the team I applied for.
