I communicated my approach clearly and implemented a correct solution, even after the interviewer introduced additional input challenges beyond the standard LeetCode version. The code was working as expected, and I began writing test cases to validate edge cases, but the session was ended early despite time remaining, with the claim that my solution failed certain cases. In reality, there was only one minor edge case, easily resolved by adjusting variable ordering. After the interview, I submitted the same code to LeetCode, where it passed all test cases and was accepted, suggesting the interview process could benefit from a more objective evaluation approach, such as AI-assisted assessment.
