El proceso tomó 6 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Docusign (San Francisco, CA) en feb 2019
Entrevista
This was the worst interview process I've ever had.
I cold emailed the hiring manager with my resume, and we spoke on the phone for an hour. Being told I'd have the opportunity to work under "the best pricing strategist in the Valley" was an initial red flag. He had the recruiters contact me to schedule an onsite shortly after.
After a few emails, we scheduled the onsite panel for the following week. I hadn't received a confirmation email a few days before the interview, so I reached out to the recruiters. The response was that the team was now incredibly busy 3 weeks before their GKO, and would need to be postpone until after. I understood, and provided my availability for a week in mid-March requested by the recruiters. No response. I followed up several days later and again, no response. Several days after this, my availability changed slightly, so informed the recruiters. Again, no response. All I was looking for was clarity as to what was going on since I had other opportunities I was interviewing at. After a week, I decided to call the head recruiter and left a message. No response. And finally, I reached back out to the hiring manager asking for any clarity on my candidacy in the process. No response.
Here's the rub - I use an email tracking software when I recruit, a fairly common practice. Every email I sent to the recruiters and hiring manager was opened, often multiple times. The recruiters even opened the email chain after I left a voicemail. However, no one had any sense of decency to write back, even if it was to say they were no longer considering me or they were just busy. Nothing.
In hindsight, I feel like I've dodged a bullet. If a hiring manager and/or the recruiting team doesn't have the decency nor courage to update, or reject an applicant, shame on them.
This certainly was disappointing review to read. But thank you for sharing your candid feedback. We have work to do here. If you are open to discussing more, please reach out to our VP of Talent Acquisition at Nic.Jagoe@docusign.com.
