      Entrevista

Place is a scam. Interview process was fast but I basically wasted a whole week of my time. President did all 3 of my interviews (two on zoom, one in person) and was trying way too hard to sell me on the company instead of me selling myself (tried to compare the office to wolf on wall street without coke and strippers). They lie about your pay when in reality it is 100% commission. Got a little sketchy when I went to the office for the 3rd interview and the company logo on the wall was different than what I applied to. After digging, I found the do groups linked in and saw a friend from college in their linked in header that does not even work there. Called him and he told me they just threw him out there to sell at&t and he quit in a month.

Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 2 días. Acudí a una entrevista en Do Group South (Atlanta, GA) en nov 2019

      Entrevista

First round was odd, there were over 20 other people there interviewing for what seemed to be at least 3 different companies. Ended up waiting about 45 minutes. I met with the President, he seemed like a normal guy and explained they processed 1100 applications, interviewed the top 10% and then 7 of those people would get a second interview. Second interview things got worse. They advertised it as an opportunity see what a normal day is like and to see if I would fit. It was also almost 8 hours from 12:30-8. Got there early and still waited about 30 minutes. President called me back and introduced me to the person I would interview with. This person apparently progressed from making 300/week to about 115k/year in around 4 months, according to him. The entire "interview" took place in a Best Buy where they would give me tedious, sometimes misleading, "challenges" while they were trying to make sales. I sat alone for about 6.5 hours doing these challenges. I only got to observe them for about 30 minutes but was told to do it from afar because "3's a crowd" so I couldn't hear what was being said. Caught one potential customer say "I'm uncomfortable with this and I don't think you're certified with Comcast" as they were trying to sell Comcast internet to random people in Best Buy. Also, they drove me to the Best Buy so I couldn't leave if I wanted too. I tried asking basic questions during the process like what is the pay/how their commission works and what do we sell and I couldn't get a straight answer. For pay they would use examples like you can make $1900/week and that times 52 weeks is almost 100k/year which is incredibly misleading since there's no guarantee you can make any money in a week. On the car ride home they gave things like "5 Steps to a Sales Pitch" and "8 Great Working Habits" which they read to me off their phone while driving. Got back to their office where I filled out a questionnaire and based on that I could be selected for a 3rd interview with the CEO. The questions were like explain what Do Group South does, when can you start, select which position bets suits you etc. Previously I had told them I could start ASAP and on the questionnaire I put I could start in 4 days. This was not soon enough for them and seemed almost surprised I was looking at other jobs as well. In addition, I put I thought the second highest level position best suited me, they wanted me to select the highest position. They seemed confused by the concept that just because you could want to become a CEO doesn't mean you are currently suited for that position. At this point he wanted me to change that answer and put 3 things that set me apart from the other candidates to convince the CEO to meet with me. At this point I told him I appreciated his time but this didn't seem like the right fit for me. He pressed as to why and I explained this seemed too good to be true and he rebutted asking if I thought it was a scam and turned that into telling me I should ask the CEO if its a scam, almost like they prepare for this (because this is 100% a scam), and then told me again to change my answer and add those three points. I told him no thank you and my interview finally finish at 8:45 pm after arriving at their office at 12:20 pm. No one should even waste their time with an interview here. Don't believe the reviews by current employees, they almost certainly fake as this is as close as it gets to being an MLM without making a financial investment. Who knows though, maybe you do but I stopped before that point.

Do what they called the 1 Million Dollar Challenge: You have 2 hours to find something in Best Buy under $30 (honestly not to much that isn't snacks or batteries) and re-purpose, re-brand,-re-create, and modify it. Then make a bunch of things like make a name, slogan, logo, and then finally figure cost/margin and make profit of $1 million in 6 months with 400% return on investment. Their example was a hula hoop with LED lights, water spicket, and water proofing. So essentially just hula hoop that lights up with water in it.

      Entrevista

Please don’t waste your time with this company. I applied online & came in for an interview. There were many other people that came in for interviews, but I heard them say at least 4 different companies that they were they for, which were not Do Group South, which I thought was weird. They called me back for the second round, in which they told me I would basically be tagging along with them to see what the job is like on a daily basis. When I got there, we got in the car to go to another location, which I wasn’t aware that we would be doing. We ended up at a Best Buy in Douglasville and the associate I went with changed out of his suit into a ‘Infinity’ polo shirt. That was a red flag for me. He then gave me task, such as find 3 things under $30 and come up with a marketing plan to upsale the items. This seemed like busy work to me. Once I figured out that he was just trying to sell cable or something to the customers in Best Buy, I called a Lyft and left. I’m so glad I didn’t waste my entire day down there.
