15 mins round of HR initial screening 1 hr technical interview with Manager HR asked for availability for 5 interviews but after one week they said they are reviewing their head count and not moving forward

Applied for job I was well qualified for. 3-4 weeks later I get call from recruiter. Seems interested and setup first tech 30 min interview. Goes well and informs me as such and wants to continue. Contact then stops completely for a week. I sent multiple emails following up. Finally hear back and they want to move forward a week later (2 weeks after getting positive feedback). Come to find out they just wanted to promote internally and the position I applied for was closed but they have another one they want me for (same position but different opening number). I then do the next 4 hour interview block with 3 manager interviews all asking the exact same behavior/situation questions. Had one tech interview where he just fired question non-stop for an hour about React and Java, which I had plenty of experience to fall back on. I felt I did pretty well. To no ones surprise, I didn't hear back from recruiter at all afterwards. I was done trying to work with the recruiter at this point and I didn't bother to follow up since I was juggling between 2 other offers that were about 20% higher than this position shows on Glassdoor. I still would have considered the job due to benefits but that was never an option.
