Entrevista
I was a referral from a current DO employee.
Process consisted of 5-6 steps (depending on how discrete you want to be)
1. Recruiter screening
This was fairly short and basically seemed to function as a way to confirm my experience and my interest in the role, as well as discussing salary expectations.
2. Initial Technical Screening
This was a very high level discussion with a member of the engineering manager team. We talked about things I'd worked on in the past, as well as my overarching philosophies on software development.
3/4/5. Technical Interviews
I had 3 technical interviews with the team I was setup to join. One interview was a high level discussion with behavioural questions, another interview was for Systems Design, and the last one was a coding challenge in a language of my choice.
6. Offer meeting
After finishing and passing the technical interviews, I met with my recruiter to discuss an offer.

Pregunta 1
I was asked to design a specific distributed system. A comparable question would be something like "Design Twitter", where the overall goal is large but the question is about your process for driving towards an MVP and iterating from there.
My coding problem was similar to one you'd see on Leetcode. It was a tree traversal problem.
The behavioural questions were things like "Tell me about a situation where you had conflict with another business unit at the company", "Tell me about a time you had to mentor a junior member of your team".

Entrevista
3 rounds
1st rounds consisted of HLD and current project description questions
2nd round, they gave a DSA problem, and asked to machine code and show the output, along with some HLD situation based question
3rd round they gave me a design question for visit once link feature, along with follow up questions. Each round lasted for around 1 hours

The interview process was very smooth. People were very friendly. I had about 5 interviews including HR, the hiring manager, system design, live coding and debugging etc. The overall process was complete in around 4 weeks.

Design a system to back up customer images (droplets): Define functional requirements, non-functional requirements, improvements, endpoints, and data structures. Include back-of-the-envelope calculations, costs, and assumptions.
