The start of the process was very smooth. Extremely easy to arrange a screening call through an automated system used and the call itself was very friendly and conversational. Feedback was given at the end of the call and a request to arrange a call with the hiring manager was sent straight after.
The hiring manager was very friendly and candid about challenges of the role and feedback was promised within 2 days after the call. A week later, an email from the HR came with a request to share examples of my previous work. This is a very unusual ask in media and I politely declined due to my work being bound by confidentiality clauses which are standard in the media industry. I asked if a case study/short task could be provided as an alternative, which is the industry norm, however was then ghosted.
After multiple follow-ups with HR and then the hiring manager, I eventually received a generic rejection email. Still keen to receive the feedback promised, I contacted them again, however didn't get a reply.
