It was the first recruiter screening, and unfortunately, I had a very poor experience. The interviewer joined the call and immediately started asking questions while looking at what seemed to be a checklist or evaluation sheet. It felt less like a conversation and more like she was simply trying to fill out a form.
The interaction felt abrupt because there was no introduction or attempt to understand my background before jumping into technical questions. I believe I could have provided stronger and more relevant responses if there had been some context-setting at the beginning of the conversation.
Overall, the interview felt rushed. There was no meaningful discussion, feedback, or effort to make the candidate feel comfortable. The lack of empathy and engagement made the experience feel impersonal and transactional.
