I was contacted and interviewed by the COO’s assistant. She’s a contractor and not closely connected with the company (couldn’t tell me much about the culture, role, etc.). She asked me questions about my experience, why I wanted to work for the company, and why I was wanting a job change. She told me I would be great for the role and the next steps would be to talk to the COO. After not hearing from her, I followed up twice and received no response. Similar to a lot of candidates in this job market, I was ghosted with no explanation, which is incredibly disappointing and disrespectful to people who work hard and take meaningful time to prepare for interviews.

Applied Online and had a 30 min interview with the assistant to the COO. Had a 1 hour interview with the COO. It went well was told the next step would be a technical assessment, then a peer interview to discuss the assessment. 8 days later I received a follow up email informing me that the assessment would be forthcoming in about a week and they would schedule the peer interview soon after that. After a week of not receiving the assessment I checked back in, barely 2 minutes later I received an email back advising that the changed their mind and would no longer be moving me to the next step.
This is not the way to treat a potential hire. They of course sent me a canned we will keep your information for the future. I told them that I was disgusted by their conduct and to delete my information. I would not take a job with them at any time in the future. How you treat people reflects upon your company. Seems it’s not all roses over there.
