This was my second time applying for this position. The first time I applied and did the online interview through HireVue and then they cancelled the job posting. About 6 months later a similar position came up (first was seasonal, this was not) and I applied for that position. Submitted the online application and took some evaluation test. Then I got an email to schedule a face to face interview at the airport. I emailed back with my preferences for time slots and they wrote me back confirming. I showed up to the airport about 15 min early and was surprised that I was the only one for that interview time slot because other people on here have had group interviews for this position. That means they only interviewed around 8 people if there was only one person per time slot. Two people were interviewing me. Similar to other interviews I've had where they have written questions they have to ask word for word and they have to document your answer so be sure to answer in STAR format because on their evaluation paper they have a section for Situation, Action, and Result that they have to write something for. I read that each airport schedules their Ready Reserve staff differently so what they do at my airport would've been helpful ahead of time. I found out they work their Ready Reserve a minimum of 20 hours per week. I have friend at another airport that only works 32 hours per month. I'm still waiting to hear back and will update when I do.

There were 5 questions, very similar to others I've seen on here. One was about ethics and doing the right thing - a time you saw a coworker doing something wrong and what did you do. One was about commitment to customer service - a time you went above and beyond for a customer. One was about commitment to getting a job done even when it requires extra effort than usual. One was about flexibility - a time you had to stop what you were doing and focus on doing something else with a higher priority (or something like that). One about Problem Solving/Decision Making - situation where you had to make a decision when you didn’t have a lot of information and couldn’t consult with your peers or supervisors.

2 steps: a video record interview where you get to record yourself answering questions and an in person interview at the airport where you will be working. Post Covid it was done as a group interview but each individual get to present themself.

Multiple phases; initial step was by webcam via app called HireVue. There was a five question interview. Questions are recorded and can be deleted and re-recorded as many times as you would like.
