Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 5 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA) en feb 2015

      Entrevista

I filled out the online application sometime late December (I believe after Christmas). A couple of weeks later, I received and email for an online interview and they gave me 3 days to do it. I did it on the last day. Then I received a call from an blocked number and the lady on the other side of the call asked for my travel documents (Passport number and expiration date) and Drivers License Number. She told me some information, asked a few questions and then said I have been selected for the face to face interview. Then she said wait for an email that will let me choose my interview date. They gave 6 choices and your supposed to rank them from your best time to your worst time as it works for you. I told them only one choice bc I didn't read the email correctly but I received and email from delta stating that that date is set for my interview and had my flight details. This whole thing happened 6 days before my face to face (which was on Monday, Feb 2 as I picked that date and at 12:30 time). 2 days before (Saturday morning) I received an email with all the things I need to bring and where I needed to be and how to get there. (They don't tell you that they need your application but they ask for it when you go there, along with the travel documents. So if you can print out your delta application, print it out and take it...not sure how much weight it has on the hiring but I just think people should know). I arrived at Delta offices about 20 minutes before and there were already a bunch of people there. They give you a place to put your luggage so you don't to worry about lugging it around with you in the interview process. They also have a place to hang your coat. Once the interview time comes, a gentleman by the name of Ed got everyone to quite down, explained the process and we were led to a lounge, where we met Delta flight attendants and HR personal. We walked around, met everyone, mingled a bit and then they told us to sit down (there were plenty of seats for everyone...it was lounge seating with nice and comfy seats. Then one of the hiring ladys started talking, they did a dance as others mentioned (danced to Taylor Swift's shake it off). Watched a little video about Delta, and then broke us into our respective groups. As soon as the groups were broken, they told each group to go where they are supposed to and then the "fun" started. My group (Group A) had the interview first. 2 interviewers...1 HR and 1 Flight attendant..6 questions that are to be answered in the STAR format...3 asked by the HR and 3 by the FA. I WAS REALLY NERVOUS...and to be honest, I was sweating my butt off at that time. Then you go back to the room and wait for others to be done...all people from the group are being interviewed at the same time by other HR and FA personal so they get done faster. Then you go on to the next group and the next....second group was in a room where everyone introduced themselves and then the guy read out benefits and other information about delta. It was really relaxed. but one thing he said that stands out: YOU ONLY GET A FACE TO FACE INTERVIEW IF YOU CLICKED "WILLING TO TRAVEL" IN THE APPLICATION...IF YOU DIDN'T, DON'T EXPECT A CALL FOR A face to face. 3rd group was we all sat in a circle format and pulled out questions from a fish bowel and had to answer them while 2-3 people at a time were going to get their pics taken, and see if they can reach the top of the door/storage compartment and fit in the jump seat. Between the 3 rounds, you get to mingle with everyone and they had plenty of snacks and nonAlcoholic beverages. After everyone was done with every round, we all sat were we were when we first walked into the room, they showed a small 5 minute movie about delta, talked a bit, then arranged for a shuttle back to the airport. Some people's name were called out, I believe about 6-7 people's name was called out to stay behind. I was not one of them... They say we will get an email letting us know the outcome, and I received one a bout 3 days after stating they found their candidates. Overall, it was a great experience and I know where I have to work on...talk about safety related issues in your interview questions....which i completely left out for some reason, even tho I had it planned that I was going to slip it in one or 2 stories...STAR stories/Answers. I don't remember the specific questions asked but they were all pretty general that other people have posted and other interview videos have talked about. But the most difficult question was about how I had to change what I was doing very quickly at a moments notice and I didn't know how to answer it bc I don't think I have ever done that...but I tried to make something up and it didn't go so well.

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.

It’s challenging, but rewarding, remember to answer in star format, and just enjoy the process, think about your why and smile! No matter if you have received a TBNT- don’t let that stop you from your dream…Keep climbing!
