Applied on Dells career page. Got a call from a recriuter about 2 weeks later and answered a few basic experience questions. Received an email a couple days later that they were interested in having the Regional Manager interview me and would get back to me in a few days. Finally received an email from Regional manager a week later setting up a time a week out to talk to him and one of his Engineers via conference call. Two days later I received an email to meet at hotel they were staying in and I drove there for a 1.5 hour interview. Was called three days later and offered the job and that the detailed would be hashed out in the next few days. Got an email two days later that in the midst of the hiring process they had a hiring freeze but that I needed to hang in there, that these things happen at times and usually clear up quickly. Waited a week and checked in but no new word. Finally after two weeks I was told that it was still up in the air but that they suggested that I look for other opportunities if I was in a pinch. I waited another two weeks and out of the blue the Regional Manager called me to tell me that I was on list for moving forward on the hire. Waited a few more days and received email that it has been approved and should be good within a couple days. It took approximately 2 months to get on and it was a very nervous ordeal for me. I was also asked if I could pass a background check for a security clearance due to the need for me to work on Dept of Defense data systems.
