      This recruiting experience was distasteful for the reason that it was outright hostile and I'm not sure why (after all - they reached out to me!) I asked the basic questions one would expect to know as a leader of an organization: - Can you tell me about the job roles of the team (the JD listed two distinct titles, hence why I asked)?... "Why do you want to know?" - Can you tell me how many people are on the team I would lead?... "No." - Is this a new or established role?... "I am not at liberty to discuss" - Can you tell me a little about the typical customer profile we're supporting?... "I'm not even going to go there." - What tooling are you using to support your servicing teams (Zendesk, Salesforce, etc.)?... Every question was met with a tone of irritation and I just wanted to end the conversation as soon as possible. There was an abrupt and rote description of "next steps" which I then repeated back in summary to confirm my understanding - which was met with a terse, "I'm not saying you're going to the next step. I'm making no guarantees." I withdrew my contention for the role immediately due to the caustic nature of this conversation. Ironic for a company that says, "We humanize technology..." and, "your role is all about people."
