I provided my salary requirements with my application and a recruiter reached out for an initial chat, so I figured they would be able to meet my expectations. While the call otherwise went well and the recruiter was very kind and professional, I found out that the target salary for the role was much lower than my expectations and market rate.
I had a really positive initial conversation with the recruiter for a marketing role at Deel. The process started strong, and I was looking forward to progressing.
I was scheduled to meet with the hiring manager, but the interview was postponed the Sunday before due to events in Israel, which I completely understood and was empathetic toward at the time.
However, after that, communication dropped off entirely. I didn’t receive any updates for over two weeks, and then received a generic rejection email stating they were moving forward with other candidates.
The lack of follow-up or transparency was disappointing, especially after being told I would be progressing to the next stage. If circumstances change, that’s understandable, but clear and timely communication is important.
Overall, a strong start, but the candidate experience fell short due to poor communication and lack of follow-through.

Moderator because I give many interviews and one was out of the box questions asked give me one situation and I react in situation this is very different questions asked for me
Are asked to complete an assignment for free work then they don't have the decency to give you a formal interview. The assignment should be given after a few rounds other wise you are taking intellectual property.
