Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. Acudí a una entrevista en Datadog (New York, NY) en jun 2022

The interviewer was just stone cold. I tried to work in some small talk to break the ice, but the most I got was a smirk. They appeared extremely disheveled and distracted (no eye contact). The employee even admitted halfway through they were interviewing me for the wrong position!
Had to lead my own interview. I was able to ask 4-5 thoughtful questions, and before our time was up asked: "Anything you would like to know about my work experience, management style or career goals?"
Very disappointed by the lack of prep by the hiring manager. I took time off from work and invested a few hours to prepare. This was not a quality experience.

Presentation based on a prompt that was clearly written by AI. Redundant. Interviewers were somewhat combative and asked the same questions over and over even though I clearly answered the question confidently and succinctly. Bizarre. Clearly, the interviewers had no idea how to interview for this position. What a waste of time.

HR was 10mins late for a 30min screening call, and scheduled a 10pm Friday night interview for the next day. Following the hiring manager round, I didn’t hear back until well into the second week, after I followed up for updates. What I received was an automated rejection email from a noreply email, which said everything one needs to know.

Tell me about a campaign that was not successful and how you recovered from it
There were 5 rounds of interview. Recruiter screening call > VP > Hiring Manager > Director > Assignment > Panel discussion.
The interview process at Datadog was positive overall, but the 3-month timeline felt unnecessarily long. More streamlined scheduling or updates along the way would improve the candidate experience. Otherwise, I appreciated the experience
