Me postulé en línea. El proceso tomó 3 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en Datadog en feb 2021
Entrevista
The interview process took nearly 3 months and it involved:
1. Phone screening by the recruiter
2. Interview with the hiring manager
3. Take home technical assessment which I wouldn't say is difficult but it is very very time consuming. Be ready to spend 2 full days for this.
4. Interview loop: Meeting with a peer
5. Interview loop: Meeting with the Sales director and Sales rep
6. Presentation interview
I was super excited and gave my heart and soul to make sure I left no stone unturned but the interview experience was very disappointing. The recruiter, hiring manager were all so disconnected and I had to follow up couple of times and their responses were so slow. They sent an email that they hired someone else and then 2 weeks later they came back and said they screwed up and want to offer me. The technical assessment was so much time consuming that I had to sacrifice my weekends and family time and they wanted a presentation with a demo. I made an out of the world demo with great presentation but they seemed so slow and made bad decisions.
As a candidate it was horrible and I wondered if I had to work with people like these who pay no regard to peoples time and effort. I got an offer from another company just around the same time and the interview experience, the people I met were so humble, humane and understanding. This was a clear wake up call for me where I realized that people and process were more important than product. In the end, I joined the other company because I felt I would be more happier there than work in a place like this.

What were the projects that you were proud of and why?
What were the projects that you were not so proud of and why?
Tell us a time when you had a conflict and how you resolved it?
Mostly behavioral questions as the tech assessment should cover all your technical aptitude.
Me postulé a través de una recomendación de un empleado. Acudí a una entrevista en Datadog (Bengaluru) en abr 2026
Entrevista
Interviewed at datadog and unfortunately had a disappointing experience with the recruiter. From the beginning, the interaction felt dismissive and biased, and I got the impression that my candidacy had already been judged before the conversation really started.
I asked a few standard questions about the company and role, including revenue-related questions that are publicly available since Datadog is a public company. The response I received was unnecessarily defensive and came across as belittling rather than informative.
I understand recruiters have difficult jobs and busy schedules, but professionalism and respectful communication matter a lot in candidate experience — especially at a company with such a strong reputation. Sadly, this interaction did not reflect that standard.
Me postulé a través de un reclutador. Acudí a una entrevista en Datadog

The recruiter contacted me on linkedin. After agreeing to an interview, I shared my availiability and interview was scheduled. On the day of the interview, the recruiter wrote me an email asking to reschedule about five minutes before the interview. I agreed and we scheduled the interview for the next week. On the day of the reschedled interview, the recruiter did not attend the interview and never responded to my email. Profoundly unprofessional and horrible representation of Datadog. I suppose I dodged a bullet.
The first was a recruiter screen, followed by a programming assessment and then a hiring manager call - behavioral, mostly checking on your selling skills. Did not proceed further after that.
