Experience of a Junior Mech Eng student in UC looking for a summer internship at the time. I was connected through one of the hiring managers/outreach members in a Handshake Virtual Career Fair. We hit it off a bit and she recommended I apply for this internship. I went through two rounds of interviews. Both went pretty well as they seemed to be satisfied with my responses to their questions about learning and working with teammates (less technical questions, more about personal and people skills). Communication was very good through the second interview, however afterwards they stopped contacting me. I had to email them a week or two later to find out that I had not gone through their selection process. All in all not a bad experience, but not nice that they ghosted me in the end.
