      Entrevista

      It’s worth noting first, that I didn’t participate in the regular interview process by submitting to the job, instead I was approached by the Marketing Analytics Manager through LinkedIn. For this reason, I believe that the process was conducted in a different way. But it was fast, short and straight forward. The Marketing Analytics Manager sent me a LinkedIn message asking if I was interested in a job position at his department. Since Dafiti is an interesting and fast growing company, I decided I was worth finding out more about the opportunity. After the initial contact through LinkedIn, a recruiter called and I was asked basic questions about my background and experience. He gave me more information about the job opening as well. The same day, I received an email from the same recruiter with a date and time for an interview with the manager. Three days later, I met with the manager and the recruiter at the Dafiti headquarters in São Paulo. They were very welcoming and during the interview I was asked basic questions about my background, experience and current job. Then, the manager explained how Dafiti works and the responsibilities and day to day of a Marketing Analytics Consultant. Then they asked if I was interested and what it would take for me to leave my current job and join Dafiti. Of course, I was interested. I didn’t want to leave my job, but the opportunity at Dafiti sounded very promising and a great challenge and chance to learn. My impression was that the interview had gone well. At the end, I was told to expect a response by the end of the subsequent week. After more than a week and no contact, I sent an email to the recruiter asking about the hiring process. He asked me to wait until the end of that week and I would have an answer. Unfortunately, there was no more contact from the recruiter or the manager ever since. I was very disappointed, since I was really looking forward to working there. But I would have accepted a negative response. The problem is the lack of respect by not even giving an answer, especially in a scenario where they asked me to participate in the process, and not the other way around. It looks like a good company, but they should pay more attention the their hiring process.
