The interview process began with an initial HR call where I was informed that there wouldn’t be any technical or live coding assessments throughout the process, which was surprising but clearly communicated. Following this, I was scheduled for a hiring manager round. According to the invitation, the participant for this round was supposed to be the hiring manager alone. However, when I joined, two other individuals joined instead and proceeded to conduct a full technical interview, including coding challenges and script-writing exercises, which was completely unexpected. The session went on for an hour, exceeding the scheduled time. While I participated to the best of my ability, I found it unprofessional given the miscommunication about the process. Unfortunately, I was informed of a rejection the next day.
