Phone interview then a 1 on 1 Interview. Both where pretty standard. Question where mostly tell me about a time? I thought the interview went well but I did not receive an offer of employment. I applied with no real research on the company. After the phone interview I did some research and during the interview I felt this was not a good job match for me. Out of state job training, 60+ hours a week, 4 on 3 off was really a potential 6 on 1 off 12 hour shifts (Would be ok for young or single people) doing both a sales rep and a technicians job. The area I was in spanned 100 miles. Calls can be that far apart and the call center is in another state so they don't always know the geography of your area. The pay is low for what is required, $13 an hour. They talked about bonuses but you really never know how high they set the bar for them and if there attainable but that happens with a lot of companies not specifically Dish. I would have taken the job as i was unemployed at the time but was not disappointed when I was not offered a position. If you can deal with all this then go for it, I'm sure it's an interesting job but it was just not for me. The interviewer was honest with all this at the time of the interview and I can't fault him. Sending a tech out of state for training seems very wasteful and expensive. Airfare, hotel, rental car, gas and food. This money could be spent on higher wages and having a new hire spend a month with a seasoned tech on diverse jobs and some in-house training.
